PRICING GUIDELINES

Photographs of the Subject  –  In order to begin the process I will be happy to visit you locally and take photographs of the subject myself. In this case I will discuss a pose with you and offer a mock up for you to approve before I start work. I realise that in some cases it is not possible to take fresh photographs, either because it would spoil the surprise for someone or, sadly because the subject has passed on. I have produced a number of portraits in these circumstances and will be happy to look at the photographic record you have to see what we can do with it. If you would like any assistance on the subject contact me by e-mail: rwjcollins@btinternet.com

The commission.  –  Hopefully one of the reasons you are interested in my pictures is that I go into a great deal of detail whether it be a simple ‘head and shoulders’ or a multi subject full body picture. I have therefore added guideline prices for pencil portraits;

There are a number of variables and I will need to assess the requirements  based on the information you provide

  • Size of the picture
  • number of subjects
  • details required
  • graphite or colour pencil or pastel
  • source material
  • etc

Presentation of the Final Product  –   All of my pictures are created on good quality, 100% cotton, paper. For those that are interested I use Aquarello Fabriano, or Strathmore Bristol Board on all but pastel pictures for which I use Pastelmat. I will normally supply them mounted on  card which enables you to choose the frame you would like. However if you would prefer the picture supplied with a frame I will be happy to do this at extra cost. Finally I will present the final product for your approval either by e-mail or in person.

Hopefully you will enjoy the result as much as I enjoy producing them!
